What is Campus Cash?

Campus Cash is the easiest way to make purchases at UB because it's accepted by the best places on campus and many businesses off campus, too. Purchases made with Campus Cash are taxable. You can even use Campus Cash to buy Dining Points, and using Dining Points will save you money on your meal purchases because you don't have to pay tax.

There's only one way to spend your Campus Cash - by using your official University ID, the UB Card.

Where can I use Campus Cash?

Campus Cash is a taxable debit spending account. It's the easiest way to buy things at UB: books, toiletries, parking, food, gifts and even Dining Points. Campus Cash is accepted at all Campus Dining and Shops locations as well as many great off campus locations!

How do I add funds to my Campus Cash account?

Campus Cash funds may be added to your account using the GET app or online at get.cbord.com/myubcard.

Can I use Campus Cash in the Bookstore?

Campus Cash may be used for Bookstore purchases. Campus Cash may be applied to your UB Card with pre-paid funds.

Can we use Campus Cash in the vending machines?

Yes, Campus Dining & Shops has over 250 vending machines on campus that accept Campus Cash.

Can I share my Campus Cash or Dining Points?

You can spend your Campus Cash and Dining Points however you like. But you may not let somebody else use your card. If somebody else uses your card, it will be confiscated. There is a fee to replace a confiscated card.

Can Campus Cash be transferred to Dining Points?

Yes, Campus Cash can be used to purchase Dining Points. You must still purchase Dining Points in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by Campus Dining & Shops (CDS / FSA).

How much do I need to purchase to open a Campus Cash account?

You can open a Campus Cash account for as little as $25. After that just add in increments of $25. For more information, visit our Campus Cash page.

When does Campus Cash expire?

Campus Cash remains active from the time you purchase it until you officially leave the University. At that time you can contact us and apply for a refund of remaining Campus Cash. Campus Cash refund request forms are available at the UB Card Office or written requests can be mailed to the UB Card Office within 90 days of the last registration date. Terms for the refund are available in the current UB Card/Campus Cash Agreement available at myubcard.com/about/forms.

How do I know if I am paying with Campus Cash or Dining Points?

The cash registers will always use the account that is most appropriate for where you are purchasing. Where there is a choice you can just let the cashier know and they can select the account you wish.

Can I transfer Dining Points to Campus Cash?

Dining Points cannot be transferred to Campus Cash.  Dining Points are set up to provide students with a tax-free solution for dining. Due to their special tax free status, Dining Points cannot be transferred or refunded.

What is my UB IT Password?

You will receive your UBit user name and password at your First-Year Orientation. If you did not receive it or need to have it reset, please contact the CIT helpdesk. More information is available on the UB IT website.
