Who We Are

Our formal name is The Faculty Student Association of the State University of New York at Buffalo! Whew! You can see why we refer to ourselves as U.B. Campus Dining and Shops! We are a not-for-profit company contracted by UB for the past 40+ years to provide a variety of non-academic services to the campus. When you work for us, you are neither a New York State employee or a direct employee of the University – your employer is U.B. Campus Dining and Shops! Although we have a few non-food related businesses, which are mostly student staffed, the majority of our openings are in the food service areas. The majority of our positions are located at North campus, as is our Human Resource department, but we do have food service locations on the Main Street South Campus as well.

What We Do

Every day we serve approximately 25,000 meals to the U.B. community – students, faculty, UB staff, our employees, and visitors. We operate dining centers and snack bars in resident halls for the students who live on campus, food courts and grab-and-go cafes near the classrooms, concession stands at concerts and athletic events, and we cater everything from morning department meetings to upscale receptions and sit down dinners. We even have our own full-scale bakery, so you can imagine the variety of jobs we have to offer!

We interview by appointment only. Below are directions to the Human Resource Department.

You will still need these directions, even if you plan on using a GPS or online mapping. They will only lead you to one of U.B.'s entrances, as their directions do not go on campus.

By Bus

Most people are surprised to learn there is a free bus shuttle between North and South Campus! Since many NFTA bus routes stop at South Campus Station, it is easy to get to the Human Resource department, in the Ellicott complex on North Campus in Amherst, by using the U.B. Stampede bus shuttle. From South Campus Station, look for a shuttle bus stop sign (Main Circle or corner of Main & Bailey), and check with the driver to be sure it goes to Lee Loop (there are a few express busses that don't). As you get off the bus at Lee Loop, you will see another bus that shuttles between Lee Loop and the Ellicott Complex. It will say "Ellicott" as the destination. As you get off at Ellicott, the entrance to our building is directly in front of you as you exit the bus. Once inside, turn right in the hallway and walk to the very end of the corridor. Our office is the last office on the left, room #146 Fargo Quad.

From the Thruway

Take I-290 to the I-990 exit. Then take Exit #1 off the 990 and immediately get into the left lane. Make first possible U-turn. You will be on Audubon Parkway. Continue to the first traffic light, and make a left turn on Hamilton. Fargo parking lot is the first lot on the right. You may park anywhere in the lot, preferably on the left side. Walk towards the "tunnel" and turn right before the tunnel's entrance. Our entrance is set back. Look for the double glass doors with the "UB Campus Dining & Shops" sign in the window. Our office is the first office on the right, room #146.

From South Campus

Just north of the intersection of Main & Bailey is Grover Cleveland Highway. Make a right turn; this eventually becomes Millersport Highway. At Flint Road, turn left and continue into the U.B. entrance. At the first light, make a left turn onto Audubon Parkway. Then, at the second light on Audubon, make another left turn onto Hamilton.

From Lockport

Take Millersport Highway South. Make a right turn on North Forest, then a left turn on Audubon Parkway. At the second traffic light, make a right turn onto Hamilton.
