Making a C3 Reservation

Nutrislice app on the app store

1. Download the Nutrislice app from the app store (Apple or Android).

2. Open the app. Choose University at Buffalo as the organization.

3. Tap on the link for the C3 – Ellicott Dining Center location.

Viewing meal types

4. You can see the meal types that are available for the next 5 days. You can reserve a meal time for the same day or up to 5 days in advance. Any meal available for today will show a status on when you can order for today. Tap to select the meal you want to reserve.

5. You can tap on the meal to see more of the description and then add to your cart, or you can tap on the + sign to add to your cart as well.

Checkout

6. Verify your cart is correct and tap on the Checkout button.

Login

7. Tap on the button to log in with your UBIT name and passcode. You will also be prompted for your DUO 2 factor authentication.

Your Information

8. The first time you order, you must complete your profile by going to Your Account > Your Information in the “hamburger menu” hamburger menu in the top right (3 horizontal lines), then hit save. This one-time action is not necessary on future orders.

9. Select the time you would like to reserve.

Payment Options

10. Then scroll down and select how you want to pay. The app will show you the accounts you can pay from.
To use your meal plan, tap on the link below that shows “apply $xx.xx meal credit”. For C3 meals in the app, you are provided a special meal credit amount equal to the cash price in order to cover the full price of the meal. In the example here, we are purchasing a Brunch with a meal ($15.75 cash price.)
If you are paying by Dining Points, you will receive a 25% discount at checkout. There is no tax for either type of payment.

Order Summary

11. Your order summary will appear like shown. You can still change your reservation time at this point. Do NOT select more than 1 meal. This order is only good for the one date and time you selected. You can NOT purchase a meal for anyone else. You will waste a meal if you do this.

Submit Order

12. Scroll down and tap on Submit Order.

Order Complete

13. Your order is complete. You will receive an email verification of your reservation.
Your actual account will be charged 5 minutes before your reservation time. Please remember that you have 2 meals available per meal period. If you use both your meals prior to being charged for your reservation, your transaction will fail and your reservation will cancel.


Checking In at C3

Menu > Your Account

Your account will be charged for your meal 5 minutes before your reservation time. Tap the “hamburger menu” hamburger menu in the top right. The main menu will expand, then you can tap on Your Account > Order History.

Expanding the Order at Check In

Do not expand the order until asked by the person checking you in. When asked, tap the order to expand it.
The checker must see the order expand and will look at the date, time, meal and that the status is In Progress. If the status is Canceled or Rejected, you may be able to pay for your meal in person if is there is capacity in that zone.
Please note that dining without using a meal or paying for a meal with the appropriate points is theft and will be treated as such.

Menu > Your Account

14. Currently you will not receive an email when your order is ready, so please arrive at the pickup location at the time you selected. To view the status of your order, tap the “hamburger menu” hamburger menu in the top right. The main menu will expand, then you can tap on Your Account > Order History.

Order Status

15. In your Order History, the order status will be marked as Submitted, will change to In Progress when it is being prepared, and then Ready when it is ready for pickup. This status refreshes every 5 minutes.



Cancel an Order or C3 Reservation

Menu > Your Account

Tap the “hamburger menu” hamburger menu in the top right. The main menu will expand, then you can tap on Your Account > Order History.

Cancel Order

Your order history will display. Tap on the down arrow on the order you want to cancel. If the order had not been charged and accepted yet, you will see a Cancel Order link.

Confirm you want to cancel. Your account will not be charged. You will see the Canceled status now in your Order History.


Account Setup

Login First Time

Open the Nutrislice app or visit ubuffalo.nutrislice.com and click the View Menus button. Then click Log In in the “hamburger menu” hamburger menu in the top right, and log in with your UBIT name and passcode. You will also be prompted for your DUO 2 factor authentication.

Your Information
