Student Meal Plans

Freedom and flexibility, along with great food, are the core of our meal plans. With 28 dining locations in 14 different buildings, there is always food close to where you are on campus - and your meal plan offers the best value at all of them. Whether you want breakfast at lunch, dinner on the run or a midnight meal, vegan selections or fast food, there are choices for everyone. We make it easy for you to get exactly what you want, when and where you want it!

Plans may be purchased for Fall 2020 beginning in June 2020.

Freshman Residence Hall Students

To help students transition to college life, first-year students living in residence halls must have a meal plan. They can choose from one of the two plans listed below. First-year students are automatically assigned the Any 19 meal plan, but may select the Any 14 plan.

New students can choose their Fall Meal Plan after June 1, 2020.

Upperclassmen Residence Halls

Upperclassmen may choose the Any 19 or Any 14 plan, or buy only the meals they need with a Resident Block Plan or Dining Dollars Plan. These plans offer a very economical way to dine on campus with maximum flexibility. These plans are not available to resident freshmen students.

Commuter/Apartment Students

Choose from any of our plans, or buy only the meals you need with the semester Block Meal Plan. A Commuter Dining Dollars account can also be opened with a minimum deposit of $50.

Note: Commuters can also select any denomination of:
  • Dining Dollars (minimum purchase of $50)
  • Campus Cash (minimum purchase of $25)

Meal Credits

When you use one of your meal credits in any Residential Dining Center, one meal credit will be deducted from your weekly or semester allotment. You then have access to the all-you-care-to-eat menu. If you use all of your meal credits before the end of the week, you may use your Dining Dollars to purchase a meal at the same meal credit price for that meal period.

If you choose to use a meal credit at any UB Campus Dining & Shops restaurant, café or food court, that meal credit has a dollar value assigned to it based on the meal period. That value will be credited towards your total purchase amount. Any remainder may be paid using your Dining Dollars or a second meal credit. You can use two meals per meal period.
